Playoff field: eight orgs still alive

The RC playoff roster:

• DarkZero Esports
• FaZe Clan
• FURIA Esports
• Geekay Esports
• Team Liquid
• Team Secret
• Weibo Gaming
• Wildcard Gaming

A classic EWC mix: Americas, Europe, Brazil, Middle East, and Asia in one bracket.

Where the bracket stands (13 August)

Several quarterfinals are already played. At the time of the ReadyCheck brief:

• DarkZero and FURIA are already booked into the semis (Friday matchup)
• Geekay has also locked a semifinal spot
• FaZe vs Team Liquid was still in progress in the data, with the winner due to face Geekay in the other semi

Upcoming slate:

4. Grand final — Saturday 15 August, 17:20

In short: the weekend decides the R6 EWC 2026 champion.

Not in the playoff field

Per ReadyCheck, several 2026 series teams are not in the playoff bracket (out of the RC playoff field), including:

CAG by VARREL, Falcons Esport, M80, MIBR.LOS, AG.AL, TYLOO, Chiefs Esports Club, KINGZERO eSports, Virtus.pro, EDward Gaming, Al Ula, Shopify Rebellion.

No invented cutline rules here, just playoff field vs the rest of the series.

Why this matters now

The tournament arc is clean:

1. Play-In finished (early August)
2. Groups finished
3. Playoffs running since 12 August
4. Final on 15 August

For R6 fans, this is the densest window: fewer matches, higher stakes, and a bracket already deep into knockout week.
