The Race to World First for The Venomous Abyss is on. It is the Mythic raid of Midnight Season 2, with eight bosses in total. The race comes down to the last one: World First goes to the first guild that kills Ula'tek on Mythic.

You can follow the race on the Race to World First page. Mythic starts this August 18 in the US, August 19 in the EU.

Eight bosses, then Ula'tek

The raid sits on the Coiled Isle, inside Atal'Utek. After Nek'zali, the raid splits into two wings, then comes back together for the last three fights.

Nek'zali the Soulcoiler
Entombed Sentinels
The Lost Explorers
Vashnik the Malignant
Sszorak
The Twin Fangs
The Coiled Altar
Ula'tek

Liquid, Echo, Method

Three guilds have owned this circuit for years.

Liquid (US) has won the last four RWFs, from Nerub-ar Palace (September 2024) through March on Quel'Danas (April 2026). Max is the 21st player: he does not raid. He runs strats on voice so the roster stays focused and puts out the best DPS and HPS.

Echo (EU) has finished second every time in that stretch, often by a few hours. They are the closest guild to ending Liquid's win streak.

Method (EU) takes the last podium spot. Method has not won a World First since Battle for Azeroth. The guild still lands top 3, but it has struggled to match Liquid and Echo.

The last four World Firsts

Nerub-ar Palace (September 2024): Liquid kills Queen Ansurek. Echo second, Method third.
Liberation of Undermine (March 2025): Liquid kills Chrome King Gallywix. Echo finishes the same day, Method the next.
Manaforge Omega (August 2025): Liquid kills Dimensius the All-Devouring. Echo and Method finish the same day as Liquid, a few hours later.
March on Quel'Danas (April 2026): Liquid kills L'ura. Echo the next day, Method the day after.

Two years, four raids, four titles for Liquid. Echo has always been close. Method has struggled to keep up with the other two.
